Presidents and their previous experience

So far every U.S. president
has had at least a little bit of government
experience.
The U.S. presidency is a job with unique
responsibilities, so there is no other job
that can provide great preparation for the
presidency. Still, we should require that
presidential candidates have some government
experience, both for the benefit of the candidate
and for the benefit of the voters that will
have an opportunity to evaluate the performance
of the candidates. Or, another way to put it,
the presidency is not an entry-level job.

previous experience.
